Flavour of the month

Autumn is in full swing, the nights are about to get darker
and things are getting a little bewitched.
Trends
AW19 is here and we are waiting for the high street to play catch up. Expect power shoulders, colour block and the return of the cape (a 2015 trend I just couldn't get away from). From the Bottega bag and slides covering head to toe of any FROWer to the blend of Victoria B shades hot in the eyes of any make up lovers palette, AW19 reminds of what fall really is about. A season of classics in a new dimension.

Christmas releases
Will we be airbrushing with Charlotte Tilbury? Slick with an anticipated uncovered Huda? Or drenched in the dreamiest scent? I always begin my Christmas shopping in September but this year I am underwhelmed. Some of the hottest festive launches are around the corner this October, don't miss out.

Technology
Ok, so it's a new year and new Apple season. Everyone has so much to say when it comes to a new Apple release but for me this year a state of the art camera and a midnight green just about cuts it. I am a sucker for new shades and intricate detail. The pro provides just that.

Affairs in order
Will they? Won't they? Three years after a Brexit vote and we are still in a struggle to define the history of this country, October 31st is the next milestone in our development. What will happen? Our guess is as good as anyones.
Unless you have slept through the past few months Greta Thunberg would have entered your thought process. At 16 this environmental activist has once again highlighted the prominence that climate change has in our world today. Politics may not be your thing, but the globe you live on certainly is. Don't play blind to the monumental change that you could be a part of.

For your viewing
This time every year Gossip Girl returns for me. The seasons are in sync and with great outfits, scandals and S&B in their prime, what more could you ask for?
In complete contrast the other view playing on my mind is Star Wars. The finale of the latest trilogy enters the big screen this December and tickets are due a release. Lets call this a family tradition

Travel
The Greek islands forever appear on our Instagram feeds over the course of the Summer months. An array of gorgeous white buildings and the deepest of blue seas. In our amazement no one expected to find them at the top of our wander list this Autumn. The weather delights, the crowds have fleed and island hopping continuously appeals to the many. Have you considered switching your usual city break for Mykonos and Santorni in the Autumn air?

The next three months see trends arise as the day progress.
Watch this space my darlings, the flavour of month is about to get that little more juicy.

Twenty six at 26

Five years ago I wrote a post called '21 things I have learnt since turning 21'
Well a lot can happen in five years my darlings. Here are my twenty six at 26.

1. Chill the f out (also one of my resolutions)
2. So you are in your mid 20's? You still have time
3. Your work/life balance will make or break you
4. Your closest circle will shrink
5. Negative energy? Walk away
6. Stand your ground
7. Sign off
8. Placing pressure on yourself will never get you any further
9. Those who matter will stay
10. Be unapologetic, your opinion counts
11. People need you, but you also need them
12. As Blair Waldorf once said be part of the none judging breakfast club
13. Never measure yourself against other people
14. Social media is an amazing platform for discussion but you also need to detox
15. Failure? Don't worry, there is always a next time- and you will kill it.
16. It's ok to be married or have kids, but it is also ok to not be
17. Your gut feeling will not let you down
18. Take a risk, we don't do boring
19. Your contribution to change in the world is monumental
20. Do the things that make you feel fulfilled
21. Being grateful is a testament to who you are
22. Drama? Stay away
23. Make time for the things you love
24. Never underestimate your capability
25. You have an impact on others, you can influence in the greatest way
26. Consider the things and the actions that make you believe make you happy and strive for them

Here is to the next five.
All my love,

Tashaa xo

A New Era

SHE's BACK.
Hi there my darlings and welcome to a new era.
Are you ready for the ride?
September 1st will forever be my favourite day of the year.
It signifies new beginnings and an evolved you, regardless of your situation.
It's your chance to reevaluate, get back in your grind after a hot Summer and turn back into the power player we all know you are.

The truth is I fell out of love with blogging,
Social media turned toxic,
and I just could not force myself to write about something I was no longer passionate about.
So, what changed?

Me.

I take time out.
I find headspace.
I have a purpose.
I focus on the energy that makes me happy.

Ooohlalaa its fashion does not dwell on the past.
Lets get over it and talk about our future.

This online space was created to make you feel good.
To talk about the things we love.
The things that get us going,
and of course with a touch of sass along the way.
The day that stops, the day I stop.

So where am I?

I am starting a new job,
I can't wait for fashion month,
I turn TWENTY SIX in a matter of days
and I am still working on chilling the f out.

It's September 1st baby and
the best is yet come.

What's in my bag? Christmas '17 | Blogmas

The mini edition
I have recently changed my go to handbag to something that is simple, structured and will go with any ensemble. This is a handbag that I pick up as I leave the house for any occasion and it is very rare that I change it's contents. I have had this Zara over the shoulder bag (SHOP SIMILAR) since last fall and I know I will have it for months to come. Costing around £39.99 it is the perfect mini for any trip and it's size eliminates the temptation to overfill it with unnecessary belongings.
As many of you know I am a sunglasses enthusiast and wear them all year around. My Fendi Iridia's (SHOP), in classic black and gold, always leave the house with me. I consider these an essential to keeping my eye make up in place especially in the midst of a never ending polar vortex.
I have recently switched to an iPhone X (yes I am still figuring out how to use it). Like many I rarely leave the house without my phone but I also consider accessories such as a power bank a necessity when you are a far away from home, working long days or on the go. These keep you in loop with the world and great in an emergency.
Having a card holder is revolutionary. Instead of carrying around a purse, which is unlikely to fit, a card holder contains everything you need and is perfect for nights out in the city! I bought mine from River Island (SHOP SIMILAR) however the variations are endless.
You may think are three lip pieces really that essential? to which I argue yes they are. I always carry around two lipsticks, one day time and another evening. My current favourites are Bitch Perfect by Charlotte Tilbury (SHOP) and Marthe by Chanel (SHOP). I also carry my Unleash Me lipgloss by Charlotte Tilbury as an added extra to wear over Marthe (SHOP). These are for days when you don't have time for a dramatic outfit change but your still need a little help in creating a flawless look. Another quick trick is carrying a perfume sample or handbag bottle with your favourite scent (my current favourite is CT, Scent of a Dream), you never know when it will be needed.

Which are your favourite handbag accessories this festive season?
What do you consider an essential?

Delectable | September favourites

\
September is undoubtedly my favourite month. It marks the start of a new season, fashion week and the launch of a whole array of new products ready for the festive season. This month I have invested a lot of time and experimentation with some fresh launches. AW17 is in full swing and Autumn just so happens to be my favourite season, I mean who else agrees this seasons colour palette is too die for?
Nails Inc. nail kale, Regent Mews SHOP
Nail Kale is my new Nails Inc favourite. As a loyal customer I am rarely wearing a manicure other than Nails Inc. Regent Mews is not only a rich, deep purple which is ultimately seasonal, and a known weakness of mine, but it leaves you with the manicure of yours dreams. Made with extracts of kale this polish strengthens your nails and from personal experience is a league ahead when it comes to being chip proof.
Full bodied foundation brush 110, FENTY Beauty SHOP
I happened to be in Harvey Nichols the day of the Fenty beauty launch and I just couldn't drag myself away. I have actively been seeking a new foundation brush all year and I just could not find the one, until I laid my eyes on this. Not only is the colour of this brush super cute and chic but it's softness is out of this world. This is one celebrity beauty range I would highly recommend testing.
Liberation, Balmain X L'Oreal SHOP
I had been signed up to Balmain X L'Oreal list for a while and yes on September 1st I was sat there awaiting it's introduction. Balmain is one of my favourite brands, with Olivier Rousteing being one of my idols- his fierce attitude brings it all. The hard part when purchasing this lipstick was choosing a colour ... bold, bright, subtle or daring? Or all the above? Liberation is a divine purple that is perfect for your AW17 wardrobe. Beware this is one very dark lipstick however it is filled with rich tones that compliment any glam look.

Tootsie Tamer, Nails Inc SHOP
This was gifted to me as a birthday present and I only wish I had this all Summer. Essentially a foot buff this tootsie tamer works miracles ... find me wearing sling backs all year long.

Sweet Peach palette, Too Faced SHOP
What I adore about this palette is it's transitional array of colours. Whilst peaches and bronzes are perfect for the Summer months it also includes some of my very favourite Autumnal tones. Talk Derby to me, Delectable and Peach pit are what dreams are made of this fall.

Hollergraphic, Nails Inc. SHOP
I couldn't resist. You all know how much I adored my Unicorn mani, well it just got all the more outrageous. These nails inc duos are literally magic in a bottle. All you need is a dark room and a camera flash to see why. Hello showstopper.

Rose Gold Apple Watch S2 SHOPS3
I was incredibly lucky to receive an Apple Watch for my birthday. As someone who is always on the go, and someone who must keep up to date with the latest news at all costs, this watch literally delivers everything I need in a heartbeat. I have never been a watch wearer but this rose gold design is stunning whatever your ensemble. If you are a tech lover like me I couldn't recommend it enough.

MOSCHINO
MFW has just passed and Jeremy Scott's SS18 ready to wear runway was something I will forever remember. His play with shapes and colours, paired with his fun and feisty attitude, never fail to deliver excellence. He encourages us to experiment, break boundaries and embrace our powerful persona's. View the collection HERE
Guess playsuit, SHOP GUESS
I picked up this gorgeous Guess playsuit ready for my birthday. It's phenomenal colour caught my eye in an instance and you all know how much I adore the 'almost lingerie' trend. This playsuit has not yet made it onto the website but I can only hope it's reappearance exists in multiple shades. It is laid back, effortless and of course a little sassy.
Sweet nothings journal, Kate Spade SHOP Kate Spade
Everyone knows I adore Kate Spade and her attention to detail. Everything feels so simplistic and effortless but her way with words add a little attitude to all her products.
They also happen to be my desk favourites.

Which products have been your favourite this September?
The festive gift guides are just around the corner, and we are on countdown.

The thing about September

September is all about new beginnings and change.
Whilst Summer is a carefree past time that allows us to release our flings and frolics that we have desired all year round, this season is one where we let everything go and start again. There is just something about September that holds importance like no other.

Virgos
This month I turn 23. The thing about 23 is, it holds little significance in the grand scheme of things. Whilst everyone is well aware of when they hit their decades, or life quarter, 23 still provides you with every opportunity to repeat your mistakes and continue learning from them. You still have seven years before you hit that thirty mark, lets make them all the more spontaneous.

Fashion week
I have been lusting after fashion week for so long. After a long start to the year I find myself craving new season, new trends, new cuts and new names. New York to London, Milan to Paris has never been desired more. This season we will see the up and coming rise of runway to retail. More and more designers and brands have decided to open up the borders to allow you to shop your favourite looks straight from the runway. We have come along way even since those snapchat premieres.

Fall
Autumn/Fall is my favourite season. Whether it's the leaves falling from the trees, the rainy days or all Hallows Eve, there is just something about this season that excites me more than anything. Burnt out colours, bold statements and trips to the pumpkin patch have never been more appealing.

The City
The city flourishes in the fall months. September is the month of motivation and magic. Power surrounds all of us, as does ambition, and pushes us to our very limits. Striving for success has never been more important and time and time again we kill it. It's time to show our love for the city once again.

But where does that leave us darlings?
It's back to the runway then onto the streets. Getting these next few months right significantly impacts the remainder of your year. Whilst of course the calendar months are January to December, I still work from September to August, my mood matches the season and it only makes sense to slay from the start and reward yourself at the bitter sweet end.

It's time to kill it my darlings.
We are about to talk fall looks, fall glam and power players.
Oh, that's after one last fling with Summer ...

Whats in my bag? AW15 Edition

It's been a whole season since i've updated my What's in my bag? but with the leaves falling, the city getting colder and the AW15 trends in full flow it was only time. This season I have updated my go to handbag to a black River Island tote (SHOP) which is perfect for everyday use and has all the space I could dream of. It is always too tempting to go for a vibrant coloured bag however not always that practical. Both the colour and structure paired with a gold polish lining are chic and sophisticated.

You may have noticed once again that my handbag is filled with Lulu Guinness, after all she is my favourite accessories designer. Since my last, 'What's in my bag?', I have added my lilac lip clasp purse (SHOP/similar) which I received as a graduation present and also a Lulu shopper for my birthday (SHOP). This shopper is one of a kind and its foldable design allows you to pack it into a compact pouch in the form of Lulu's trademark lips . Of course I wouldn't be able to part my Lulu Guinness make up pouch (SHOP/similar)- could we expect this wonderful lady to create anything besides handbag perfection?

For AW15 I have condensed my carry around cosmetic selection. Along with my Chanel compact mirror I always carry two lipsticks- one for everyday and one just incase things get a little sassy. Currently I am using Chanel Rouge Coco in Edith (SHOP) and MAC limited edition Private Party. The two couldn't be more different, yet perfect for day and night. I have also changed my Victoria's Secret scent to Pink Fresh and Clean and have received many compliments on its divine smell- I literally go through bottles of these Pink minis! Another of my essential make up items to is my current nail polish as chipped nail polish is less than desirable so its is necessary to have a quick fix. This week i'm wearing BarryM Gelly in plum (SHOP).

Of course what would my handbag be without a few essentials? My Kate Spade planner, a copy of the latest Vogue (or Elle) and a pair of sunglasses make my bag complete.
What's in your bag for AW15 darlings?
Be sure to let me know!
