Spring awakening. March was without a doubt my favourite month this year. After a year of heavy planning 2018 was filled with endless events and bucket list moments. 

Living and breathing city life I knew I was at my happiest.

I spent part of my March in Manchester with my best friend,  a city I completely underestimated.

Being a relatively older band who hadn't toured in a long time, with a new album purely rumoured, I was incredibly to lucky to see Thirty Seconds to Mars. Anyone knows this is my dream band.

... and to this day remains my best night ever.

I always love seeing my favourites end up living their dream lives. Myself and this angel were lucky enough to see this happen at the wedding of Elaine and Gary in March. 

So lucky to share this moment.

Lesson 2: Breathe baby breathe | February

So you are finally getting over your January blues and already seeking those Summer months. February was always one of my favourite months, now it is one of the hardest. With awards season in full swing and in the midst of fashion week, February is not only about planning those career goals but also making peace with your mindset.

This past February was a little unexpected. 

I know Antartica was on top of my bucket list but I didn't expect to live and breathe it so soon.

Whilst the snow caused chaos and disruption in England, it also became a welcome distraction.

February is the month to take time out and breathe. The time to find your headspace. 

Whilst my February was filled with work work and more work, I also gave myself time to reflect and kept my head in the clouds. Reality never has to be as it appears. 

Surround yourself with people who understand this mantra. 

... because remember my darlings, you don't always have to keep your shit together.

What's in my bag? Christmas '17 | Blogmas

The mini edition
           I have recently changed my go to handbag to something that is simple, structured and will go with any ensemble. This is a handbag that I pick up as I leave the house for any occasion and it is very rare that I change it's contents. I have had this Zara over the shoulder bag (SHOP SIMILAR) since last fall and I know I will have it for months to come. Costing around £39.99 it is the perfect mini for any trip and it's size eliminates the temptation to overfill it with unnecessary belongings.
      As many of you know I am a sunglasses enthusiast and wear them all year around. My Fendi Iridia's (SHOP), in classic black and gold, always leave the house with me. I consider these an essential to keeping my eye make up in place especially in the midst of a never ending polar vortex. 
     I have recently switched to an iPhone X (yes I am still figuring out how to use it). Like many I rarely leave the house without my phone but I also consider accessories such as a power bank a necessity when you are a far away from home, working long days or on the go. These keep you in loop with the world and great in an emergency. 
     Having a card holder is revolutionary. Instead of carrying around a purse, which is unlikely to fit, a card holder contains everything you need and is perfect for nights out in the city! I bought mine from River Island (SHOP SIMILAR) however the variations are endless. 

    You may think are three lip pieces really that essential? to which I argue yes they are. I always carry around two lipsticks, one day time and another evening. My current favourites are Bitch Perfect by Charlotte Tilbury (SHOP) and Marthe by Chanel (SHOP). I also carry my Unleash Me lipgloss by Charlotte Tilbury as an added extra to wear over Marthe (SHOP). These are for days when you don't have time for a dramatic outfit change but your still need a little help in creating a flawless look. Another quick trick is carrying a perfume sample or handbag bottle with your favourite scent (my current favourite is CT, Scent of a Dream), you never know when it will be needed.

STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD
Add a touch of colour to your wardrobe, be the one in the middle of the dance floor, do what others are afraid to do, just remember to always be true to yourself. Don't focus on what others are thinking and never explain yourself.

LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD
Are you registered to vote? Are your opinions known? Do you use your platforms to their full potential? Never let anyone take this away from you, it is your most powerful tool, use it. Say it, and mean it.

BE BOLD
Being bold does not mean you have to be the centre of attention. Make decisions and stick to your word. Be kind but honest. Be the one who inspires and influences those around you. Being bold is about risk taking, and more often than not it pays off.

MAKE YOUR ACTIONS YOUR OWN 
Take responsibility for your actions. Take pride in your work and don't be afraid to show the world how proud you are. Ambition is motivating, but being grounded keeps you striving. Keep your head out of the clouds.

ADVENTURE
Embark on an adventure, and don't get bored. Bordem leads to laziness and wander leads to exploration.

BE GRATEFUL
In everything you do show you are grateful. There is a reason you got there. Never hold a grudge, what will you gain from it besides negativity? After all Beyonce did say, 'always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper'. If you want something you will work for it no matter what gets in your way, just be grateful to those who are around you on your path to success.
