Christmas tree co-ordinates | Blogmas

So yesterday I finally decided to decorate my tree. I have previously discussed the many themes and colour schemes that are ultimately chic and on trend to opt for when it comes to Christmas tree decor and this year I too opted for something a little different. As you may remember the past two years I have had a mixture of pinks, purples and bronze. Whilst I adore still adore these shades it was time to switch things up a little.
This year red and silver were my go to colours. Whilst these maybe considered traditional festive favourites my tree was far from classic. Filled with butterflies, roses and oversized baubles,  from stores including Laura Ashley and Next, I was left with a combination that fell nothing short of fabulous. For the first time ever I also bought a Christmas tree skirt from Next which I am quite simply in love with, it adds so much character to my tree whilst fitting in perfectly with the rest of my home decor.

Streets made of desire

So for the past few days I have been frolicking amongst the streets of Amsterdam, because you all know how much I adore a European city. Whilst I spent two days at sea and only a few short hours in the city I took the time to admire architecture, shop the latest trends and embrace everything about my favourite continent. Having lived in Germany for the majority of my life I have found myself feeling a little distant from the place I would often call home. This part of the world remains one of my very favourite, i'm just lucky enough to be able to visit it whenever I get the opportunity.

Whats in my bag? AW15 Edition

It's been a whole season since i've updated my What's in my bag? but with the leaves falling, the city getting colder and the AW15 trends in full flow it was only time. This season I have updated my go to handbag to a black River Island tote (SHOP) which is perfect for everyday use and has all the space I could dream of. It is always too tempting to go for a vibrant coloured bag however not always that practical. Both the colour and structure paired with a gold polish lining are chic and sophisticated.

You may have noticed once again that my handbag is filled with Lulu Guinness, after all she is my favourite accessories designer. Since my last, 'What's in my bag?', I have added my lilac lip clasp purse (SHOP/similar) which I received as a graduation present and also a Lulu shopper for my birthday (SHOP). This shopper is one of a kind and its foldable design allows you to pack it into a compact pouch in the form of Lulu's trademark lips . Of course I wouldn't be able to part my Lulu Guinness make up pouch (SHOP/similar)- could we expect this wonderful lady to create anything besides handbag perfection?

For AW15 I have condensed my carry around cosmetic selection. Along with my Chanel compact mirror I always carry two lipsticks- one for everyday and one just incase things get a little sassy. Currently I am using Chanel Rouge Coco in Edith (SHOP) and MAC limited edition Private Party. The two couldn't be more different, yet perfect for day and night. I have also changed my Victoria's Secret scent to Pink Fresh and Clean and have received many compliments on its divine smell- I literally go through bottles of these Pink minis! Another of my essential make up items to is my current nail polish as chipped nail polish is less than desirable so its is necessary to have a quick fix. This week i'm wearing BarryM Gelly in plum (SHOP).

Of course what would my handbag be without a few essentials? My Kate Spade planner, a copy of the latest Vogue (or Elle) and a pair of sunglasses make my bag complete.
What's in your bag for AW15 darlings?
Be sure to let me know!

A British Autumn

A British Autumn is nothing but desirable.
For a country that is famous for its rainy weather and combination of countryside and cities, this is the season where the island flourishes.
Think Burberry trenches, iconic landscapes and of course the crisp cold air.
The reasons we adore Autumn vary. From a divine deep colour palette, to dreary days in the city- there is something about Autumn that keeps us going. Could it be the new beginnings of September? The countdown to Christmas? Or a killer wardrobe?
I spent my Sunday afternoon in the city with one of my best friends sipping on cocktails and catching up on life.
With fashion week in full swing it is time that we completely embrace AW15 trend. The transition from S/S to A/W can be a little tedious so I opted for fail proof monochrome. We need to save our favourite seasonal colours for when the leaves start falling and the hard work gets going.

Here i'm wearing my favourite River Island leather jacket and new season over the knee boots. I have paired this with my Topshop ribbed jumper and white cord skirt.

I'm all about Autumn and a British Autumn is what makes us adore September across the waters.
The AW15 runway was one of our favourites and these are trends to live by. It's time to flaunt our flawless styling and wardrobe perfection.

SCALLOPS + SASS

I spent last Friday night partying in the city. As we have just entered AW15 in was necessary that I embrace the hottest seasonal trends meaning sleek black sophistication was a go to. I adore this plunge playsuit with a scalloped cut from RARE London. Whilst it us daring and a little risqué it was certainly worth it and provides you with the perfect opportunity to flaunt your pins even when though the season is changing. I paired it with my favourite black platform Carvelas.

Glam is courtesy of Toni and Guy, Label M, Laurens Way and Urban Decay.

BLACK ON BLACK; THE CLASSIC SHOE

Everyone knows that black shoes are everything and everywhere.
Black goes with each and every ensemble meaning it is important that your shoe closet has an extensive range of gorgeous shoes in this divine colour. Whilst bold and vibrant shades, patterns and extravagant colour clashes are all too tempting they are limited in their appearances.
It's time the black classic shoe takes over your wardrobe and ensures that your on trend style is the talk of the city.

#STILETTODAILY
Whats the point in perfecting your workwear wardrobe if your shoes are anything but fabulous? The perfect everyday footwear isn't a desire but a necessity. Every working woman should own a pair of plain black stilettos that can be worn on an every day basis. Not too high, not too low but most of all bearable. Fabulous shoes aren't fabulous if you struggle to walk by the end of the day!

#CONSERVATIVE
EMBELLISHMENT
There is nothing I love more than a pair of chic black pointed courts. Not only do they instantly add formality to your ensemble but you can always experiment with the many variations and styles our favourite fashion retailers have to offer. I adore my black and gold points. Whilst they are perfect, and appropriate, for the office they also have a little personality with a gold tip on both the point and heel. This can act as a touch of accessorising if your ensemble is lacking a little glam.

                              #OFFDUTY
Whilst heels are my favourite it is simply impossible to wear them everyday. Sometimes a pair of flats is extremely welcome in your life. Flats are my favourite for when it's time to dress down, whether you are going to the movies, shopping or just simply flaunting your amazing off duty style. A pair of black flats are a wardrobe staple and for the obvious reason ... there is no denying they are comfortable and co-ordinate with everything.

#POWERPLAYING
These are my favourite type of shoes. This is where your investment should lie by buying a divine pair of black heels. I opted for the So Kate black Louboutins that I only wear on occasion. These are what I define as a power wardrobe staple as they change the way you act, provide you with confidence and of course make your feet look amazing. This is where I believe height matters but once again as long as you can walk. These are the type of shoes you would wear to a wedding, a corporate business meeting or a high society event. They can transform an ensemble and more importantly the way you feel.

#DREAMDATE
Any fashionista will agree that a classic shoe is a platform black stiletto. Platforms with block heels that are sky high are sexy, sleek and completely sassy. A block heel makes them easier to walk in and the extra height adds length to your flawless pins. Not to mention these are a date night go to.

#SHOWSTOPPER
Just because your heels are black does not mean you cannot have the opportunity to experiment. Whilst courts are a go to, especially for daywear, when it comes to evening we desire something that little bit sassier. Why not experiment with different fastenings, heel heights and skin exposure. These are the shoes that have every one surrounding you staring in admiration.

#EVENTFUL
When it comes to Christmas, birthdays you name it, it is important your feet are looking extra fabulous. Instead of going out and buying a new pair of shoes to go with each new ensemble stick with one signature pair. I bought a pair of Miss Selfridge platforms nearly three years ago and to this day they only make an appearance during the festive season, but I never tire of them.
#BOOTYLICIOUS
Black boots are a wardrobe item that I buy every single year. I wear them that often that the heel will last no longer. Whilst I always opt for a heeled pair of boots, with black being my go to colour, it is also important to own some flats. Whilst these are of course perfect for going casual they also come in useful when we suffer from those rainy Autumn days (i'm from England!) and therefore can also be worn for work! All in all your wardrobe will suffer if you are missing a pair (I wear them that often!).
Do you agree darlings?
Black shoes are necessary and timeless.
Take this classic idea and transform it into 21st century trend.
