Merry Christmas fashion darlings!

So I have been a little absent in my more extensive and styling posts recently and here I will explain why. Besides being a full time student with numerous essays to hand in, for the past month I have been working every hour possible meaning hello constant tiredness. My advent calendar is my way of showing that I am still very much here, I hope you've been following!
Enjoy your festivities darlings because I am back.
Here is what I have been up to this past month
From this years Christmas jumper ...
to my naughty body shop purchases ...
and Christmas outfits of the day ...
and sitting by the fire on a Christmassy date ...

with my first Christmas dinner of the year ....
and cute presents from my friend ...
too a well deseved pair of gorgeous stilettos ...
and Christmas eve Starbucks ...
and finally it is the night before Christmas and I am sitting with my glass of pink champagne and relaxing.

Enjoy darlings.
Lots of Love

Autumn is here

Today it rained, the first time it has properly rained since my move back to the city. Had I missed it? No not at all. Had I missed autumn? Completely. Autumn is my favourite season, typically leaves falling off the trees, pretty scenery and the likes of halloween, but what really excited me about autumn is the many opportunities there is for the cutest outfits.
Whether you're running to a lecture, work, shopping or visiting a pumpkin patch (do you realise how hard these are to locate up here?) there is a perfect outfit for every occasion. Really place effort into your styling because not only will you look fabulous, you will also feel it and people will take notice. Many people would throw on leggings and a sweatshirt (only appropriate work out pieces in my opinion) when the weather is horrendous but they fail to realise there are many other options. This is where signature A/W pieces come into play hello winter coat, hello boots, hello colours.
My ensemble today consisted of a mulberry coloured blazer from New Look, £25 and Primark Top, £4. Mulberry is a must have trend colour this season and I love it especially because it goes with my chocolate coloured hair not to mention a tailored blazer is also a wardrobe essential. I barely ever shop in Primark but as I walked past I spotted this cute cami with a leather look, lined pocket and couldn't resist.
My other pieces are jeans from River Island, £35, Oasis Bracelet, £18 and River Island boots, £35. As you will have noticed from previous outfit of the day posts River Island is my favourite place to buy jeans as they do long legged which many other high street and even high end stores do not. The only problem is that they are sometimes difficult to find at different points of the year and presumably sell out quickly so therefore I have to buy a few pairs at a time. I love my boots which are a new buy. Every year I struggle to find a pair of boots that I really really like and sometimes do without. I like that these are laced and suede, not always practical but they looked too good not to purchase.

Let me see you first A/W pieces darlings and tell me what you think of mine.

Student looks; time for a wardrobe refill

Who would have thought summer would go so fast? With the return to college and university (or perhaps you are just starting) fast approaching it's time to fill your wardrobe with all the student essentials so you can look gorgeous whilst dashing to those lectures.
My key to a good student wardrobe is to go for quality not quantity. I would much rather buy that £50 jacket than have lots of £15 one's that have no shape and look awful!
Invest in a NUS card, student discount is a saviour

With autumn approaching now is the perfect time to ease into the new season so when the hottest A/W13 trends arise you will be right on top!
Like with a job, dressing for university is extremely important. Sure you can have your days off but the more fabulous you look, the more fabulous you feel which reflects on your attention span, day and quality of your work (well that's my philosophy!).

Looking smart shows you have made the transition from school/college as a teenager who throws on anything to a mature student who knows what they are doing.
I have put together a few looks with different variations that compliment your different moods.
I would say the most important things to invest in are boots, jackets and jeans.
These looks show a summer/autumn transition. As you get into the swing of things experiment with the hottest on trend colours (fuchsia, royal blue, burgundy, mustard- blogpost to follow).
