Today marks the day that Queen Elizabeth II, monarch of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth realms, becomes our longest serving Queen. Bypassing Queen Victoria her 63 year reign has been filled with momentous events, both joyful and devastating, that have shaped our country today.
As head of our armed forces and head of the Church of England her iconic figure makes her one the most important, if not the most important, monarchs to ever rule our country. Her dedication, loyalty and willingness to serve her people is admirable, appreciated and a statement. We thank you for providing us with an identity and planting the United Kingdom and Commonwealth realms on the globe and in the prominence of todays society.
